2010 Annual SJYO Silent Auction and Concert

Sunday, April 25th at the Heritage United Methodist Church

Join us for this fun-filled event! Shop and bid on items before the concert and during intermission and enjoy an afternoon of great music performed by the South Jeffco Youth Orchestra.

A great deal of effort goes into pulling together an event like this. Please help make this year's Auction our best ever. For the 2010 Auction we are suggesting that each SJYO family be responsible for procuring at least ONE (1) item. Here are some tips to help you get started.

Step 1. Arm yourself with an Auction Request Form. You can download and print the form by clicking here.

Step 2. Think of something to donate. If you desire, you can donate a service you yourself provide like hosting a gourmet brunch. More likely, think about whom you know. Are there quaint little shops you frequent, where the owner knows you? Does your child take lessons of some musical, athletic or artistic nature? Do you have a favorite eatery? People that owe you a favor are great to ask, but don’t stop there. Ask your friends, relatives, and acquaintances who own a shop or provide services. Have an Auction Donation form handy and give it to them, or fill it out with them right then and there. If you don’t know anyone, arm yourself with many copies of the Auction Donation Form, and simply walk into neat stores. Ask to speak to the owner or manager. Tell them how much your family loves the SJYO and ask if they ever make donations to charitable auctions. Leave the forms for the relevant person. Grab a business card, noting the proprietor and the person you talked to. Follow-up a few days later with a phone call.

Step 3. Inform the donor that a Donor Receipt will be mailed to them for their records.

Step 4. Drop off the completed Auction Donation Form and donation item on Monday, April 19th during rehearsals. If you need to make other arrangements, please email us at sjyoinfo@sjyo.org.

Silent Auction Fundraising Donation Letter/Form

Gift Basket Project

SJYO will be creating themed gift baskets for the silent auction. Each musician is asked to bring in an item for one of the themed gift baskets. The themes include a Coffee basket, Chocolate/Sweets basket, Family Movie Basket, Relaxation/Spa basket, Scrapbooking basket, and a Tea basket. Please bring in your item by Mon, April 19th at rehearsals.
